![]() For example the first part off the line would not be FS00000001 - some of those numbers in your serial # will stay the same for the month, year, whatever. I do know that a lot of the time the serial number masks other information such as the date of manufacture. Whether they're willing to take the time to research it, I don't know. It is 7spd and has the funky X-Press shifters (Suntour version of STI). Components are Suntour X-1 (bitd when bikes got full groupo - or close to). It is made in Taiwan of steel (Tange 4130). but I can't remember which year buyout was. I am thinking it is post-buyout because the frame says "Gary Fisher". ![]() not sure how old but it is orig except the handlebar and seat plus it is pretty darn good shape.
